Beginners Course in Melville
Tango Class at the Dance Cafe with Bert and Lerato
Hi Tango Lovers and Friends
Lerato and I continue into October with our
Monday night class at The Dance Café in Rivonia.
We have been working on some detailed techniques to make
the communication and the comfort of our Tango more clear and enjoyable.
We analyse how we step - paying attention to weight placement and timing.
Using easy figures – we apply our analysis to these and find ways to improve movements
like sacadas, barridas, ganchos…
In October
we will take a closer look at the ladies legs: the standing leg and the free leg.
Each has nature, behaviour and function.
As ladies we want to
move our legs in smarter, more efficient ways
that are elegant, beautiful and secure.
As Men we need to
develop a sensitivity and understanding of how
our ladies move their legs… how, when and why they step, wrap or hook.
In this cycle we want to
play with the ideas we have about the lady’s legs
and see where these lead us on our journey through Tango.
Our class is intimate and
we try to work on the individual difficulties we each experience.
Encouraging each other to give feedback: we have created a fun group of dancers
all working together to improve and have fun with our Tango.
The class happens on
Monday nights at 8pm to 9pm at The Dance Café in Rivonia.
The cost is
R500 per person for the 5 Monday nights in
October (2nd; 9th; 16th; 23rd; 30th)
If you would like to join our class or would like further information, please contact us at this email address:

Hope to see you on the dance floor soon.
regards
Bert and Lerato
