Thursday                             Back to : This Week  Tango Lessons in  Illovo We would like take this opportunity to deeply ‘Thank You’ for your unwavering support and patience. As promised, the venue for our Tango classes has changed and we will now be conducting them in Illovo on Oxford Rd (details below) – starting next Thursday (16th of November). The lessons format has also changed as we will now have the following slots: 6:30pm - 7:30pm Beginners Group Class 7:30pm - 8:30pm Tango Figures Class (Open to all) 8:30pm - 9:30pm Tango Embrace Class (Open to all) Beginners Group Class: For those new to tango – we cover the basic elements of Tango. ‘Walking’ to the beat of the music; lead and follow; some fundamental Tango figures. Tango Figures Class: In this class we want to explore new figures and unpack some old ones. We will start with “The Basic 8”. Playing with exercises and ideas that make this basic figure more dynamic and informative. Tango Embrace Class; This class is for those new to the close embrace; or want to improve their skills within the close embrace. We shall work with exercises that lead to a comfortable close embrace and enhances the communication and sensitivity between the couple. Fee Structure: We are introducing a Tango Gold Card worth R1000 per couple. This card will be discounted by 20% when you buy it on the first day of lessons (16th November). In other words: it will still be R800 per couple on the day. One month you can buy the card. The next month your partner can buy the card. Or just split the price of the card from the start. It’s all up to you. This card entitles the couple holding the card to four (4) lessons, and you may gift the card to others; or let friends use a corner for them to come try a Tango lesson with you. You may even use the card to attend the 2 different classes in a day. A corner gets clipped from the card every time a couple attends a lesson. Once all four corners are clipped, the card is expended and you will need to buy a new card.
